The Street Art Throwdown will be held at the 2026 Art•Struck Festival on April 25th!
The Johnson City Public Art Committee is seeking local artists to participate in the Street Art Throwdown at the 2026 Art Struck Festival! Artists will create graffiti-style art on 6×8 ft. fence panels during a live demonstration at the festival. All artworks must be completed between 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. during the event on April 25th. Artists may submit up to two proposals for consideration using the form below.
Submission Deadline: February 20, 2026 Final Artists Selection: March 6, 2026

Artist Honorarium & Materials
All participating artists will receive a $100 honorarium along with the materials for artwork creation listed below. All materials must be returned at the conclusion of the Street Art Throwdown with the exception of any unused paint, which may be retained by the artist.
Each participating artist will be provided with the following materials:
(10) cans Montana Gold Acrylic Professional Spray Paint
(1) 6×8 ft. wood fence panel with attached stand
½ gallon latex exterior primer
(1) Paint roller handle and cover
(1) Paint tray
(1) 10×10 tent to protect artwork/materials from the weather if needed
Artist Honorarium & Materials

Plaques featuring the artist’s name, social media handle, and artwork title will be included next to each artwork. At the end of the display period, the artist will have the option to collect the artwork or donate it for an auction held by Johnson City Public Art, if applicable at that time.
