The host
The festival is organized by the City of Johnson City’s public art committee, an active group of art-loving, City-appointed volunteers. The Johnson City Public Art Committee plans and executes public art projects and events, secures funding, and advocates for public art in our community.

When do applications open for festival participants (vendors, art demo/activity hosts, info booth hosts)?
Festival applications typically open in early November and close in mid-January. If you would like to receive a notification when the applications are live, please subscribe to the Johnson City Public Art email list.
How are vendors selected?
The festival art market is a juried show and limited vendor spaces are available within the event footprint. The Festival Committee will review all applications after the deadline and select vendors to fill all available spaces. Learn more about the jurying process here.

The festival is held in and around The Pavilion at Founders Park (105 W. Main St.) in Downtown Johnson City. Some activities and event highlights are located in the Founders Park amphitheater adjacent to the pavilion.
Will the festival continue as planned if it rains?
The festival will still take place if light and intermittent rain is forecasted for the event date. However, if heavy rain and/or inclement weather are forecasted, the event will be cancelled.
